As promised, here's a link to my freebie wreath tutorial:

I'm the kind of person who needs a to throw out the first pancake (probably everyone is, though I am sure there are some pancake unicorns who magically get it right every single time). Part of the problem is that all of the delays have given me the time to thoroughly overthink this project - your support means so much that I didn't want to screw up a video people paid for. I've never made a tutorial before and felt like a fraud giving people my first try. SO, here is my first pancake, a low-stakes wreath tutorial that hopefully some people might fight useful on the way.

I'd really like feedback on this one so that I can make improvements before I film the tutorial for the indiegogo wreath kits. Please leave feedback in the comments of the youtube video or on my instagram post so that I am able to see them all together.

Thanks again and take care!

Hello all! Thank you so much for your patience; between getting legal residency in Germany and registering my business during the pandemic, along with the emotional toll of moving, it's taken me a while to get settled in Berlin. Being able to update my shop this Sunday was a bit of a personal victory after what felt like a mountain of challenges.
Now that my online shop is set up and I'm legally a resident here, I'm able to dedicate time to recording and editing the tutorial for wreath kits. Georg has also set aside some time and we've set December 15 as the date for posting it. People who pledged for any wreath kit reward level will receive a link with a password to the tutorial on my website.
This week, I'll be posting a short freebie tutorial on some seasonal crepe paper foliage in order to get some feedback from y'all for improvement before refining the video for the wreaths. I'll update again here when that's uploaded.

Thanks once more and I hope you're keeping cozy (gemütlich) these days!

Hello all!
It’s been a minute. The big news is that

[image of Grace as a Berliner/Donut and Georg as a Pretzel/Brezel bun with text that reads “Chin is in Berlin]
Thank you so much for putting Chin in Berlin! This was such a wild time to be trying to do this and it was only with the financial & emotional support from everyone that I was able to make it here during a global pandemic. I know I’ve said thank you before, but truly, this would have been pretty damn near impossible without the campaign.

By now, you should have received your perks for contributing to my campaign. Please let me know if there’s been any errors and I’ll do my best to them from my quarantine bunker.

For any folks who chose the wreath kit and tutorial, you should have received the kit; however, the video tutorial is forthcoming. I’d intended to film it from my quarantine location (I’m under mandatory quarantine for 14 days).

What I’ve found in the last week, though, is something many others have discovered during this crisis: that I don’t have the same resources I’d have without a pandemic preventing access to them. Additionally, there are a few technical/legal issues to sort now that my website is based in Germany. The original fulfillment timeline put the arrival of kits by May 2020, and I’m hoping to send out the link to the tutorial by the end of May - mid-June.

Thank you so much for your patience while I try to work with less-than-ideal circumstances.

Hope everyone is safe and healthy during these wild times.

Hello! Here’s an update for this week -
Georg is here! He's helping me with some of the moving tasks that feel overwhelming at the moment; mostly lifting heavy furniture and running errands.

❊ Survey: I submitted my survey for approval two weeks ago, but was told somehow my request was lost. Backerkit is in the process of reviewing it (*Backerkit is a service that helps crowdfunders organize their fulfillment/shipment process). I apologize for the delay on these.

❊ Postcards: Georg & I will be assembling these this week

❊ Sticker pack: *dependent on completion of survey, but G & I will be assembling these packs too.

❊ Enamel Pin: nearly all the manufacturing facilities for enamel pins are located in China (if there was one based in the US, I would totally be using them); even the companies based in the US outsource the work there. Last week, I heard back Yuki, my contact from the company I'm working with and she informed me that their facility is closed because of the coronavirus. I wish I had a more definitive date for when these will be ready, but in the meantime, I'm glad the folks there are being kept safe. I apologize for the delay.

❊ Want & Need Print: Hooray ~~ Oddities Prints are total bosses and have finished printing these. They're lovely.

❊ Paper Pal: see updates above

❊ Lawrence's 10th Best Artist tee: I'm in contact with Leslie Kay of LFK Press in Lawrence, KS, but will need survey results (for t-shirt sizes) before I can place an order

❊ Someday My Prints will Come: Hooray ~~ Oddities Prints are total bosses and have finished printing these. I’m picking them up today! After that, they’ll just need to be packed and shipped.

❊ Wreath Making Kit & Tutorial (both): Materials are on their way to me! Because of the move, I’m shipping the kits first, and then filming/editing the tutorial during May.

❊ Wreath Kit & 4 riso prints: see updates above

❊ Double the Trouble: see updates above

❊ Wreath Crafting Party Pack: see updates above

Thanks so much!

This is just a quick update to let y'all know that the surveys will most likely be out by Monday or Tuesday next week. Keep an eye out for them in your inbox!
